Robert Ayliffe bravely told me you’ll have the building gig up by Christmas. I was sceptical, though I really wanted the ‘gig to be up’. Well, thanks for Michael Jansen and a case of courage (a bottle or two of amber courage), we had it done a few days after the prediction.
The only wrestle we had was with the slots that hold and align the bulkheads. They require some tweaking to take the bulkheads at an angle. We tried many methods of removing MDF from the narrow slots and the best…..my trusty draw knife. A tool I learned to use making the masts for my Whilly Boat. A tool worth it’s weight in blood (drawn by it’s long, sharp, unprotected edge).
